About Us

I began my jewelry journey 22 years ago when I was inspired to wear unique designs that I was not finding in the market. I took a class, bought my first beads and started to design. I taught myself how to silk knot because I wanted to create the "chain" that surrounded the pendants. While wearing the first pieces, the compliments I received came with questions on where they could buy it, and Bead of the Soul was born.

I left my first big purchasing show with various Buddhas. They spoke to me. I was not sure why. It was later that I remembered that my parents had a large gold dancing Buddha statue, adorned with gemstones above their bed, and then I realized why they appealed to me so much. Buddha was a part of my childhood and came with fond memories.

I was fortunate in my first year to partner with the 2 Bloomingdales stores in my area. The first was located in Old Orchard in Skokie and then the Michigan Avenue store in Chicago. I worked with them for 10 years and designed year round. I met the most amazing people and clients during those years. I am so thankful for my time with them. I also sold to boutiques in my area and a few on the West Coast. I loved doing in person trunk shows and interacting with my customers.

I stepped away from Bead of the Soul to focus on raising my 2 amazing children, my son Quinn and my daughter Lucy. But like it had before, my creative desire called me back. Six years ago I began doing The Wells Street Fine Art Festival in Chicago each summer as well as the Gold Coast Show, the Evanston Art Center Winter Boutique and smaller trunk shows.

All of my history has brought me to this moment and I decided to re launch Bead of the Soul with a new website and a new energy! We shall see where this path takes me. I am thrilled to be designing again and engaging with a larger audience.

I would like to give thanks to my wonderful family and friends who have supported me over the years. And a special thank you to my son Quinn and his keen technology mind and for his patience in helping me create this website to share with you.
